Biography


Mr. de Gubernatis was sworn in as a lawyer at the bar of Aix-en-Provence, on 8 January 2016.

A graduate of the School of Law of Aix-en-Provence, Jean-Baptiste de GUBERNATIS holds a Master II in Criminal Sciences, and graduated at the top of his class.

He is also a graduate of the Institute of Criminal Sciences and Criminology and of the Portalis Institute for legal and moral sciences.

As a university student he received a first prize in criminal sciences from the Marseille bar association, as well as the Bar Association President’s Prize for best oral arguments for the South-East School of Lawyers entrance exam.

In 2014 he won the Demosthenes eloquence contest.

In parallel with his studies, Jean-Baptiste de GUBERNATIS worked as a volunteer in the National Student Group for Teaching Prisoners (G.E.N.E.P.I.).

The Bar Association Board awarded him the Benjamin Abram Prize in 2017.

Jean-Baptiste de GUBERNATIS placed second in the 2019-2020 Young Lawyers Bar eloquence competition.

A partner at REBSTOCK CERDA & ASSOCIATES, he was also a director of the Board of the Young Lawyers Union of Aix-en-Provence, between 2017 and 2019, where he held training sessions for the group’s continuing education programme.
